Continued Give Back For Flood Victims

You can help the flood victims in 3 ways:

1) Donating goods.

We are still accepting donations. We suggest cleaning supplies, toiletries, water, gatorade powerade etc, tools and house gutting supplies. Bread, Cold Cuts, Cheese, Chips, individually wrapped snacks, Mayo, Mustard gallons, Cutlery kits, napkins, paper bags #8, Towels, blankets, and pillows. Dog and cat food. Baby formula and diapers. Any Non perishable food.

Here is the deal on clothes – most places have been inundated with clothes and stopped taking them. Mainly because people can’t take clothes yet, they’re just getting to gut their house and they have no place to put them. If you want to give clothes we are accepting them and holding them in storage. We know in a few weeks, once everyone is back in their house that clothes will be a necessity and everyone with being taking them again.

2) Sponsor a lunch:

We have had many people/businesses ask if they can help feed folks. Our goal is to deliver bagged lunches every Monday and Friday for the next month.
Here are the details to sponsor a feeding day:
  • Pick a day for your business or group of friends to “Sponsor”
  • It costs $800 to feed 2000 people. We know that $.40 a person sounds cheap but we have partnered with Randazzos and we are making them take some money (they have donated over 4000 buns, 2000 cookies, 10 king cakes, 500 cheese danish). They want to keep donating but we can’t let them. We are also getting different small donations from mayo to chips here and there. Non Profit Making Life Grand has also received some cash and check donations and it was to put toward earlier food runs. God always just seems to provide.
  • You can split that anyway you want.
  • We have 2 business going Monday at $400 a piece
  • Get a few friends and put up what you can.
  • Our Non-Profit will always kick in the rest so that we bring the 2000 lunches the next 4 weeks on Monday and Friday.
We will provide the kitchen, get all the supplies and train you to be a professional sandwich artist and bag stuffer!
  • Email cmcdonald@aintlifegrandinvestments.com with any questions or a copy of our Non-Profit paperwork for tax deductions.
Feel free to sponsor a day and then come help make the bag lunches

Good food, “Havin’ A Good Time”, and Giving Back is at the core of Mugshots Grill & Bar’s  culture. Located at 29740 Urgent Care Drive, just yards south of the Highway 181 and Interstate 10 intersection, the 7th location to the Mugshots brand in Alabama opened its doors for business on Tuesday, July 12th.

After hosting their “Eat Good, Give Back” soft opening fund raising event the weekend before, Mugshots Grill & Bar and their nonprofit, Making Life Grand, were able to raise funds and awareness for the Child Advocacy Center of Mobile and the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center and their dedication to assisting families and children. “Being a part of the Mugshots Malbis opening was a great experience. The overwhelming support we received from the the people of Malbis, Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Mobile really tells you about the sense of community here.” said Sam McAlister, Marketing Director for Ain’t Life Grand Investments. “We have helped our communities with quite a few fund raising events over the years with our “Eat Good, Give Back” events and we just reached a milestone of $130,000 in donations to great organizations in 3 states. It’s very humbling to know we are bringing hope to families and children in need.” said McAlister in closing. Tuesday morning during the opening day ribbon cutting ceremony Mugshots founders presented a check to the Child Advocacy Center of Mobile and the Baldwin County Child Advocacy Center in the amount of $10,000.00.

“Our Franchisee and Owner, George Herring, is a very driven, goal oriented leader that has done a terrific job with Mugshots Mobile.” said Founder of Mugshots Grill & Bar, Chris McDonald. “It’s exciting to think about what he will do, alongside his great management team, here in Malbis. With this opening we add an additional 100 team members to our Mugshots and Ain’t Life Grand family. We have over 1,200 family members now and our goal is to spread our culture to thousands of customers every day in over 20 grand restaurants.” said McDonald in closing.

Letter From Our Founder

The Grand TimesGrand Family,

Hope all is well and you are having a great summer!

We are excited to announce that we launched “The Grand Times” newsletter today.

We are going to send out small “Shout Outs” each week and one longer “Newsletter” in the beginning of each month. This is some great information for you to share at your “chef tells” with your employees.

It is our vision that this platform will help bring the three brands together and will also let our fans know about all the hard work and good deeds you are all doing in your local communities. Please post an “all staff message” through HotSchedules to your entire staff when we email it out to you as well.

Also feel free to post up by the employee board. Encourage your staff to “Like” it on Facebook and to engage us on social media. The further we can get this news out each month the quicker our customers will turn into brand loyal fans.

We are going to be reaching out for some employee spotlights in your stores. Also, if you have any good news that I can use for the newsletter about your store or employees please email me and I will get it in the next newsletter or “shout out.” As always, I would love some feedback into making “The Grand Times” as best as it cane be. You can email me directly.

Thank you all for your hard work and commitment to keeping this “Grand Bus” rolling!

Love God. Love People. Go Change the World.

Ain’t Life Grand Investments LLC Welcomes New Corporate Chef

Chef Eileen Bennett

Ain’t Life Grand Investments LLC Welcomes New Corporate Chef

Ain’t Life Grand Investments LLC, parent company of Mugshots Grill & Bar, Glory Bound Gyro Co., and Topher’s Rock N’ Roll Grill names Eileen Bennett as Corporate Chef

COVINGTON, LA (PRWEB) OCTOBER 02, 2015
Ain’t Life Grand Investments LLC, (ALG) the parent company of a growing list of the south’s favorite restaurant concepts including Mugshots Grill & Bar, Glory Bound Gyro Co., and Topher’s Rock N’ Roll Grill, is pleased to announce the addition of Eileen Bennett to the ALG Family.

Bennett, a sixth-generation New Orleanian and mother of 3 boys, will be stepping into the role of Corporate/Test Kitchen Chef for Ain’t Life Grand Investments. She brings over 25 years of culinary experience and has excelled in such positions as culinary instructor, chef de cuisine, sous-chef, and pastry chef. From the age of 12 Eileen has been in either a hotel or restaurant kitchen. From bar-back and short order cook to catering, Eileen understands personalized customer service, the restaurant industry, and knows how to stay creative. Her culinary creations and inspirations embody the spirit and flavor that is New Orleans and Southern Cuisine.

“We couldn’t be more excited to bring Chef Eileen on board,” said Chris McDonald, founder of Ain’t Life Grand Investments. “She has an incredible mixture of experience and creativity that has already inspired our corporate headquarters as she has made our new test kitchen her home. Our customers and restaurant family are going to love her and what she creates for our current and future restaurants and menus.”

Over the last 25 years she has worked with renowned New Orleans chefs such as Alison Vega, Susan Spicer of Bayona, and most recently Tony Bosco of Bosco’s Italian Cafe. In 2014, Bosco’s and Chef Bennett received national rave reviews for her “Louisiana Crawfish King Cake.” This savory puff pastry, filled with crawfish tails, pepper jack cheese, bell pepper and spices, is dusted with colored Parmesan and drizzled with her special blend of herbed cream “icing.” This unusually unique pastry was created by Bennett and traditionally served at her mother’s renowned Mardi Gras parties in the French Quarter for over 18 years.

In addition to her education, experience, and creativity, Chef Eileen gives back to the community with her time and talents. She has been a Pro-Start Team Mentor at Fontainebleau High School, appeared in the Culinary Arts Series at Hammond Regional Arts Center, and is an instructor at Culinary Kids, where she leads their Advanced Cooking Classes for kids, All-Abilities Classes for young adults, and a Global Food Series for their Adult Corks and Cooking Classes. Last spring she represented Culinary Kids in the Girl Scouts of America Cookies and Cocktails Party at Harrah’s Casino in New Orleans.

“I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my culinary journey,” stated Chef Eileen. “I’m excited about the opportunity to help develop three different restaurant brands and menus, but even more excited about how our nonprofit group, Making Life Grand, will allow me to use my talents to change people’s lives.”

Making Life Grand Donates $23,123.94 to Children’s of Alabama and Camp Smile-A-Mile for Cancer Research

Ain’t Life Grand Investments and their nonprofit Making Life Grand donates check on behalf of Project Team Taylor to Children’s of Alabama and Camp Smile-A-Mile.

BIRMINGHAM, AL (PRWEB) AUGUST 06, 2015

This morning Ain’t Life Grand Investments, Making Life Grand, and Project Team Taylor met representatives of Children’s of Alabama and Camp Smile-A-Mile at the newest location of Glory Bound Gyro Co. in downtown Birmingham, AL to present the check from the inaugural Project Team Taylor company wide giveback held at all locations of Mugshots Grill & Bar, Glory Bound Gyro Co., and Topher’s Rock ‘N Roll Grill.

Project Team Taylor was created to raise funds and awareness for Pediatric Cancer Research & Treatment. 6 year old Taylor Rayburn, daughter of Allison and Cliff Rayburn, was diagnosed with a Wilms’ Tumor on April 27th, 2015 and received treatment at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, AL. June 11, Taylor’s birthday, will mark the day of our annual giveback to help fight cancer.

“The entire staff at Children’s couldn’t have been more gracious,” said Mugshots Tuscaloosa Franchisee, Cliff Rayburn. “The treatment, care, and confidence of the staff at Children’s made Taylor feel as comfortable as possible and our family felt as if we were a part of the Children’s family. This is when we realized that we had to do something as a company to give back to these organizations who are helping the fight against cancer.”

“Giving back, changing lives, and making a difference in communities is what Making Life Grand is all about.” said Founder of Ain’t Life Grand Investments, Chris McDonald. “It’s one thing to give back but when it’s a family member it makes it that much more special. One thing this giveback did for the whole company, that I wasn’t expecting, was show us just how much cancer is part of many people’s lives. We had visits from customers who were coming in to remember loved ones taken by cancer and also customers celebrating those who are cancer survivors.” McDonald also stated.

About Making Life Grand:
Making Life Grand is the nonprofit of Ain’t Life Grand Investments; the parent company to three of the South’s favorite restaurant concepts. We are dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we operate. Our Mission at Ain’t Life Grand Investments: Love God. Love People. Go Change the World.
