We are proud to announce Josh Rovira as the recipient of the 2017 Beacon of Hope Scholarship. The ceremony was held today at St. Pauls School in Covington, LA. The scholarship was presented by Reagan Hill, President of Reagan’s Peanut Butter Project, and Thomas Domingues, Staff Accountant at Ain’t Life Grand Investments.
The Beacon of Hope Scholarship was established by Reagan’s Peanut Butter Project, a nonprofit organization created by current student, Reagan Hill and St. Paul’s alumnus Chris McDonald. Their mission is to bring hope to others through acts of kindness and service.
This award is given to a sophomore who is involved in three or more extracurricular activities including Lasallian Youth Leaders and/or Key Club. The recipient must enjoy the opportunity of service and be current on service hours. Additionally, this person must demonstrate a strong Christian faith. The recipient must exude kindness, compassion, positivity, and be a beacon of hope for others.
In addition to the $500 scholarship, the recipient, in conjunction with Reagan’s Peanut Butter Project, will have the opportunity to plan and perform an act of service with $250. Together, they will show others that hope is the greatest stimulant in life.
